Miami, FL. (July 9, 2024) – While Latin music’s “Favorite Voice” prepares for the second leg of his successful U. S. TRAPPI Tour, and with his most recent album “Música Buena Para Días Malos” being among the Top 10 of 2024’s “Best Latin Albums” round-ups by Billboard and Rolling Stone en español, Jay Wheeler has been announced as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” of the Year by People en Español. Regarding his inclusion on the list, Jay Wheeler said, “For me, beauty is what you are as a person. It’s the way you treat people, your humility and being a family man. I am in one of the best stages of my life, and being able to share this with you makes me proud.”
As one of 2024’s “Best Latin Albums” by Billboard and Rolling Stone en Espanol, “Musica Buena Para Días Malos” debuted at No. 1 on Apple iTunes U.S. and No. 4 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart, marking the first time in 4 years that there was a simultaneous debut of albums on the prestigious pop charts. The 13-song set has delighted fans around the world, who’ve made tracks like “Historia”, “Duele”, “Textos Fríos” and “Maquillaje” their favorite new anthems.
His successful U.S. “TRAPPii Tour” kicked off on June 13 with Wheeler’s first-ever SOLD-OUT performance at The Theater in Madison Square Garden. Accompanied by a production team of 55 people, including staff, musicians and dancers, the stage was illuminated with a set inspired by his innovative short film “TRAPPii”.
Traveling across 7 cities, and concluding the first leg of the tour with another SOLD-OUT in Orlando, the tour has been the most meaningful for Wheeler and wife, Zhamira. During the tour’s opening night in New York, the couple revealed to the world that they are expecting their first-ever baby.
The second leg of the tour will continue on October 17 in Rosemont, IL, culminating on October 27 in Austin, TX.
