Although this marks their first collaboration as artists, their paths have crossed in the studio before: Elena Rose wrote Gente de Zona’s hit song “Muchacha.” “Nadie Se Murió” is the second single from Gente de Zona’s upcoming album, Isla Viva, set for release in 2027.
Born from a years-long friendship, a unique creative chemistry, and an undeniable connection, Cuban duo Gente de Zona and Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose, a 2026 Latin GRAMMY nominee for Record of the Year, join forces on “Nadie Se Murió,” a collaboration filled with emotion, strength, and the unmistakable joy of Caribbean music. The single and its official music video will be available this Thursday, October 15, at 8:00 PM ET.
Created from scratch in the studio alongside producer Angel “Pututi” Arce, the song seamlessly blends Elena Rose’s alternative pop sensibilities and artistic vision with the tropical and urban DNA of Gente de Zona’s Alexander and Randy.
