MIAMI, FL (September 17, 2026) – Lupita Infante turns heartbreak into a powerful expression of female strength with her new song “Con Una, Dos o Tres,” alongside Chiquis. With an unfiltered delivery and undeniable strength, the two artists give voice to that moment when a breakup hurts, but also brings out the strength it takes to heal, move forward, and come out stronger on the other side.
Co-written by Lupita Infante, J. Eduardo Murguia, and Mauricio L. Arriaga, the same songwriters behind “Amémonos de Nuevo”, Lupita’s collaboration with Leonardo Aguilar, “Con Una, Dos o Tres” taps into the emotional highs and lows of heartbreak while celebrating the power of getting through it in good company. As Lupita describes it, it is the kind of song to listen to with tequila, mezcal, or aguardiente, whether alone or alongside those friends who completely understand what it means to go through a broken heart.
“It’s a song for those moments when you’re going through the heartbreak of losing a relationship that you know is going to hurt, but you also know that the pain won’t last forever. That’s how it is: ending a relationship is never easy, and you have to go through those difficult moments, but we recover and, in the end, we’re always okay,” said Lupita Infante.
The collaboration also marks a new chapter in Lupita Infante’s connection to some of the most important dynasties in Mexican music. As the granddaughter of legendary Pedro Infante, Lupita previously joined forces with Leonardo Aguilar, grandson of Antonio Aguilar, and now teams up with Chiquis, daughter of the “Eternal Diva of Banda,” Jenni Rivera, bringing together the legacy of three generations of iconic figures in Mexican music.
Speaking about the collaboration and what it means to her, Chiquis shared: “It’s a great honor for me to sing ‘Con Una, Dos o Tres’ with Lupita. We share the pride of coming from families that have left an important mark on Mexican music, but we’re also connected by what it means to be women in this genre. “Con Una, Dos o Tres” follows the release of “Aunque Me Duela,” Lupita Infante’s fourth studio album, which explores the most authentic roots of ranchera music,while embracing the heartbreak, sadness, and catharsis at the heart of the genre. The eight-track album features “Amémonos de Nuevo” with Leonardo Aguilar, as well as “Con Todo Respeto” and “Prenderte una vela.”
This year, the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame will honor Lupita Infante with LA MUSA Elena Casals Award in recognition of her work preserving and advancing the traditions of Mexican music while forging her own artistic identity and introducing that musical heritage to new generations. The 13th annual LA MUSA Awards will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at The Flamingo Theater in Miami.
