The single blends the original live vocals of the Diva de la Banda with newly recorded vocals by Jacqie Rivera, allowing mother and daughter to perform the song together once again, a song that marked one of the most unforgettable moments they ever shared on stage.
When Jacqie Rivera was just a teenager, she performed “If I Ain’t Got You” live with her mother. The performance became one of the most meaningful musical moments they ever shared and a cherished memory for their fans. More than a decade later, Jacqie revisits that performance to honor her mother and celebrate the unbreakable bond they always shared through music.
Precisely, Jenni Rivera was the first person to believe in her daughter’s talent. “She was the first to believe in me. From the time I was little, she always told me I could sing, that I shouldn’t be afraid or doubt myself. When I decided to pursue music and start recording, I did it to honor the gift God gave me, but also because my mom saw something in me,” Jacqie Rivera shares.
Rather than simply looking back, this release preserves one of the most meaningful moments in Jacqie Rivera’s musical journey with her mother for a new generation of fans.
