The Latin GRAMMY®-nominated trio joins UMPG following the breakthrough success of Keep Me Fed, the most successful hard rock album by an all-female band in the 2020s
Miami, FL (December 15th, 2025) — Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), leading global music publisher, has announced the signing of trailblazing Mexican rock band The Warning to an exclusive global publishing agreement.
Formed by sisters Daniela (Dany), Paulina (Pau), and Alejandra (Ale) Villarreal from Monterrey, Mexico, The Warning has emerged as one of the most electrifying forces in contemporary rock. With their raw energy, technical precision, and unapologetic authenticity, the band has captivated global audiences—amassing over 575 million streams and 290 million YouTube views to date.
Their latest album, Keep Me Fed (June 2024), became a landmark release, debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart and #1 on the UK Rock & Metal chart. Featuring standout tracks like “MORE,” “S!CK,” “Hell You Call A Dream,” “Qué Más Quieres,” and “Automatic Sun,” the album has surpassed 200 million global streams and earned the band a Latin GRAMMY® nomination for Best Rock Song with “Qué Más Quieres.”
“The Warning represents the strength, creativity, and global impact of a new generation of rock,” said Ana Rosa Santiago, Senior Vice President, A&R Latin Music for Universal Music Publishing Group. “Their talent and authenticity make them one of the most exciting bands to come out of Mexico, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to our UMPG family.”
Over the past few years, The Warning has toured with global rock giants including Muse, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, Royal Blood, The Pretty Reckless, and Three Days Grace, commanding stages at major arenas and festivals worldwide. They were nominated for and performed at the 2024 Latin GRAMMY® Awards, in addition to high-profile TV appearances on the VMAs, EMAs, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Kelly Clarkson Show. In 2024, the band also served as the face of Pepsi Black in Mexico. Their momentum continued with the release of their concert film Live from Auditorio Nacional—recorded before 30,000 fans in Mexico City—which premiered in theaters via AMC (U.S.) and Cinépolis (LatAm), accompanied by a live album release.
With their fearless artistry, sisterhood, and rapidly growing global fanbase, The Warning continues to redefine what it means to be a rock band in the 21st century—breaking barriers for Latin and female representation in the genre and setting a new standard for the international rock scene.
