Fresh off receiving the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame Award, Elvis Crespo announced his highly anticipated return to the Choliseo, celebrating the cultural pride and vibrant rhythms that have defined his legendary career. The event marks a new chapter in the “Bodega Tour,” a concept born from Crespo’s love for community and tropical music traditions.
The inspiration for “El Colmadito” originated in the Dominican Republic, where Crespo filmed a series of music videos capturing the energy of the local colmado—a symbolic gathering place that reflects the heart of Latin community life.
His latest album, Poeta Herío, has sparked a renaissance of música tropical típica, bridging generations and countries through collaborations that honor the genre’s roots. The project includes fresh takes on classics like “Luna Llena”with Ebenezer Guerra, “Me Mataron” with El Blachy, and “Borrón y Cuenta Nueva” featuring La Insuperable, Ebenezer Guerra, and Toño Rosario—a true intergenerational celebration of Dominican and Puerto Rican musical heritage.
Following surprise Bodega appearances across New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Chicago, and multiple cities in Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic, “El Colmadito” continues to uplift the pride of the Puerto Rican and Dominican diasporas through music, dance, and community.
