Treasured Items To Be Part of the GRAMMY Museum Starting September 20
Los Angeles, CA (August 22, 2024) – Following the release of their latest album “Modus Operandi,” the legendary Regional Mexican band INTOCABLE made a special donation to the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, CA, to further commemorate their 30 years of musical trajectory. The Mexican-American Tejano / Norteño band will contribute an iconic accordion and a personal jacket to the Latin GRAMMY’s 25th Anniversary Exhibit that will open on September 20.
“I want to express my sincere thanks to the Grammy Museum for their acceptance of this accordion and jacket donation. Your support is invaluable and makes a big difference, thank you for helping to keep our music alive,” comments Ricky Muñoz, lead singer of Intocable.
The exciting announcement was made at a private event held at the GRAMMY Museum on Tuesday, August 20. The celebration included a Q&A hosted by entertainment reporter Grecia Lopez, where the emblematic band talked about their 30-year music career, their generous donation, and their work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. They also spoke their insightful thoughts on música mexicana’s rich evolution and shared special moments in their fruitful career.
The donated items include a unique accordion crafted for Intocable’s frontman and accordionist Ricky Muñoz. The highly anticipated exhibit will feature treasured items donated by a collection of emblematic Latin artists.
To celebrate this special moment, Intocable will also have a “family day” on November 9 at the GRAMMY Museum, where the band will “host” the families’ entrance to the exhibit.
In February, Intocable released their newest album “Modus Operandi,” produced by legendary producer Don Was (Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Elton John, Ringo Starr).
Up next, the band is continuing their 30th Anniversary U.S. Tour that started last month in Hermosillo, Mexico.
