(June 27, 2024) – This Thursday, June 27 at 11:30am PT, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recognized the legacy of the late Eterna Diva de la Banda Jenni Rivera with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has proclaimed June 27 as “Jenni Rivera Day.” Rivera was honored with the 2,783rd star and was dedicated within the Recording category. Located in front of the Capitol Records building at 1750 N. Vine Street, Rivera’s star is a new milestone for the “Diva de la Banda” musical legacy and her children Jacqie, Johnny, Chiquis, Jenicka and Michael received the star on behalf of their mother. Mexican icon and one of Latin America’s most successful singer-songwriters Gloria Trevi was the event’s guest speaker, while entertainment reporter and Jenni Rivera long-time friend, Ninette Ríos, was the EMCEE. As part of the event, Gloria Trevi shared some emotional words: “Today is a very special day. Today we are honoring and celebrating the life and art of a distinguished and brilliant woman.
