Miami, FL. (February 2nd, 2023) – Spanish rapper Ptazeta and popular Spanish singer, Lola Índigo, join forces for the first time to show audiences what real Spanish flow looks like. The song, which was born during a songwriting camp in Netherlands, is a fusion between Dancehall, Trap and Reggaeton, a perfect combination to break down those ‘forbidden moves’ on the dance floor to the rhythm of “Tiki Tiki”. Released today under Interscope Records, the single is now available on all digital platforms. Steam it here!
Produced by Juacko, Maki Váez, Distorzion and Nigel Hey, “Tiki Tiki” is an upbeat single where both artists utilize the term ‘tiki tiki’ as a way to express a moment of happiness, one which you connect with until your heart beats to the rhythm of ‘tiki tiki’. With Ptazeta’s fieryness and Lola Índigo’s sensuality, this is the perfect collaboration set to hypnotize partygoers from the very first beat.
“For the longest time, I’ve been wanting to record a song with Lola, someone who’s greatly admired in Spain. When we began working on the concept for the song, we came up with it quickly thanks to the great vibes between us. We enjoyed our time in the studio just as much as our time recording the music video,” expressed Ptazeta.
The music video was directed by Álvaro Paz and was filmed in Madrid, Spain. In the video, Ptazeta and Lola Indigo start their conversation at a hot dog stand, where they prepare to continue to party and enjoy the rhythm of “Tiki Tiki” and are surprised by the chef who begins dancing unfiltered. Throughout the video, whether at a train station or a skating rink, both find themselves enjoying every minute of their outing while mingling with all walks of life. Ptazeta continues to overpower media front pages and continues to revolutionize the music industry nonstop. Previously, she released her single “Desacatá” alongside Argentinian artist L-Gante and followed suit with “Ponte Pal XXX”. She would then recruit internationally renowned Puertorican rapper and trans phenomenon Villano Antillano to release the empowering anthem “Mujerón”, which surpassed 8 million stream and combined views. Prior to the explosive release, Ptazeta recreated one of her favorite songs, “A Quien Le Importa” by Alaska and Dinarama, exclusively for Amazon Originals. Billboard named her “Latin Pride Artist” and praised “her unapologetic lyrics, which for the most part, reflect her queer and open-minded penmanship.”
Ptazeta has her sights set to make an unforgettable cultural and musical impact in 2023, and she certainly has the talent “chops” to achieve it!
