Miami, FL. (May 26, 2022) – Multicultural K-Pop boy group T1419 shocks fans and media alike with a surprise release of a dance cover to the reggaeton king Daddy Yankee’s “CAMPEON” from his last album, LENGENDADDY. Released May 18 on MLD Entertainment’s official Youtube, group label, the cover has already received over 1 Million views. This past weekend, Daddy Yankee took Twitter to thank the boys of T1419 for their cover by reposting the youtube video. Many fans went to the comment asking for a collab.
What surprised fans the most was for the first time ever the boys of T1419 were singing and rapping in Spanish. Fans took to the comments to express their love saying:
“The best thing I’ve seen, they did incredible and singing in Spanish, I love them.”
“It must have been difficult to sing in Spanish, they did amazing”
“I can’t believe this happened, I never expected to hear (them) singing in Spanish. I’m so proud of T1419, they did amazing”
Even fans that just learned of the T1419 guys expressed their newfound love of the group, “I didn’t know them and yet I was very surprised by this cover they did. I can imagine how difficult it was to learn Spanish for this song, I quite liked it.” The dance was choreography by Wanhee Bae, MLD’s performance director.
The release comes just after the boy’s participation in Daddy Yankee’s #bombonchallenge which Daddy Yankee along with rapper Lil Jon reposted on their Instagram.
In late 2021, T1419 ventured on their LATAM music industry journey. Through their participation in several Top Latin artist TikTok challenges including Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha, and Maluma the group began to build a solid base of fans in LATAM. Following the highlight of their “Problema” challenge from the Reggaeton Godfather Daddy Yankee, the group released a dance cover of his global smash “Problema” as a tribute and gratitude for his support.
The Korean Boy band, T1419, aims to connect with their Latin American fandom. T1419 is currently preparing to release new music for the summer with a promo tour in LATAM. Stay tuned!
