Miami, FL. (January 20, 2022) – Rising Venezuelan star, Manu Manzo, inspires determined and independent women on the new single “Pobre Diablo”, giving a voice to women who no longer allow their feelings to be played with. With a masterful production, the new single fuses low fi beats, trap-pop, and reggaeton, which is now available on all digital platforms. Listen “Pobre Diablo (Interlude)” HERE.
The track was produced by Kuinvi who also co-wrote the track alongside Manu Manzo. “Pobre Diablo” was born from a true story in Manu’s love life, which led her to include voice notes and real WhatsApp conversations in the production of the track from the man who played with her feelings, in the production of the track. The Latin GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter shows that there are no barriers in music and, as she has previously mentioned, “this is the best way to express what we feel.” After having experienced a relationship with a man who did not know what he really wanted, Manu decided to end that relationship. In this song, the artist expresses that she doesn’t want anything with him, she is no longer playing his games, and that now she is better than ever. Without a doubt, this song empowers women to value themselves and not allow any man to play with them.
“A man who makes you feel insecure and does not value has to be left behind. We cannot allow anyone to play with us. We are stronger than we often imagine”, advises Manu Manzo to all women who have gone or are going through something similar.
The lyric video was directed by Manu Manzo and David Fernández, and was filmed in Miami, FL. The video, which is available on Manu’s YouTube channel, is presented as a television show, which features different screenshots of conversations she had with her ex-partner and the countless times that he had called for a second chance. Manu is depicted as a firm, determined and powerful woman who chooses herself before anything else.
In September last year, Manu Manzo returned to the musical stage with her single “SACALACAMARA”. The single, which surpassed half a million streams, represented the start of a new phase in the Venezuelan’s artist musical career. Currently, Manu is working on a full-length studio album.
