Miami, FL (November 5th, 2021) – After building widespread excitement and breaking the internet, Spanish Rap/Hip-Hop legend and pioneer Lito MC Cassidy releases TODAY his much-anticipated album La Jaula De Los Vivos. Available on all digital retailers via Lito Music, LLC/BMG, the 20-track album stands out as his first full-length project since 2013 and represents a return to the explosive lyricism he trailblazed.
After almost two decades, he set the stage for the record with Latin music’s hottest sequel “El Gran Robo 2” featuring global superstar, music entrepreneur and Reggaeton icon Daddy Yankee. In less than a month, it has already surpassed 1 million total streams and counting with over 355K views on the cinematic music video. It also inspired widespread critical applause. Touting it on First Stream: Latin, Billboard raved, “Old-school rap gets new life” and praised it as “hard-hitting.” Meanwhile, Los Angeles Times also prominently featured it. The official music video is set to release within the next weeks on Lito’s official YouTube channel. Stream “El Gran Robo 2” on your favorite music platform
However, he invited a few friends to help. In addition to the reunion with Daddy Yankee, the album boasts a total of 20 tracks that includes collaborations with legendary artists and music icons: J Balvin, Farruko, El Máyor Clásico, Zion & Lennox, Baby Rasta & Gringo, Tito El Bambino, among others. Lito also included urban genre’s artists who are part of the new generation such as: KEVVO, Elysanij, and Hozwal.
However, it’s just one side of La Jaula De Los Vivos—which translates to “The Cage of the Living.” In fact, the album presents the most cohesive vision of his career yet. La Jaula De Los Vivos plunges listeners into a fictious village beset by systemic racism. Through the songs, he shares his trials, tribulations, and triumphs, opening up his world and sharing himself like never before.
“The album represents everything I dreamed of and the struggle to achieve some of those dreams. It is a mature version of my artistic expression,” stated Lito, the first-time nominee at the Latin GRAMMY® Awards for “La Vendedora de Placer” in the category of “Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song.”
With a career that spans more than two generations, Lito MC Cassidy, made it’s official comeback to the industry in 2020, renown as the maximum lyricist of the Latin rap and hip-hop movement. Previous singles, “U.F.O”, “Alienigena”, “La 23” feat. Farruko & El Mayor Clásico, and “La Vendedora de Placer” have surpassed over 10 million combined streams up to date.
It’s officially La Jaula De Los Vivos season now.

ABOUT LITO MC CASSIDY:
Continuing one of the most influential legacies in Latin hip-hop and reggaeton, Lito MC Cassidy has asserted himself as both an elite lyricist and consummate storyteller since 1998. The Latin GRAMMY® Award-nominated rapper initially rose to popularity as one-half of the game-changing duo Lito y Polaco, bringing a spotlight to the music of his native Puerto Rico in the process. Together, they created a catalog of classics, including Masacrando MC’s [1999], Los Éxitos Vol. 1 [2000], Mundo Frío [2002], and Fuera de Serie [2004]. Along the way, he garnered two Premios Tú Musica Urbano Awards and received a nomination at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Taking a ten-year hiatus from the game to focus on raising his son, he conserved his energy to return at just the right moment. With his boy’s blessing, he announced his comeback in 2020 and signed a joint venture between his own Lito Music, LLC and BMG. After blasting off with “U.F.O.,” he reached a new plateau altogether. Telling a heartbreaking tale of a woman’s descent into sex work for survival, “La Vendedora de Placer” racked up over 1 million Spotify streams and 1 million YouTube views and garnered his first Latin GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song.” On its heels, “La 23” [feat. Farruko & El Mayor Clasico] raked in 1.6 million Spotify streams. It all set the stage for his anxiously 2021 album, LA JAULA DE LOS VIVOS. Superstars such as Daddy Yankee, DJ Playero, Ñejo, KEVVO, and more jumped at the chance to collaborate, joining a historic supporting cast for this blockbuster. Once again though, his storytelling shines front-and-center fueled by a knockout lyrical crossfire and fiery flows. Lito MC Cassidy’s influence remains eternal now and forever.
