Miami, FL (June 25, 2026) – After a breakout run that has positioned him among the most impactful young voices in Música Mexicana, Xavi has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), a leading global music publisher.
The signing arrives at a pivotal moment in Xavi’s career, following the release of his sophomore album Dosis, which made a powerful debut across Spotify’s biggest album charts, landing at #6 on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut Global chart and #9 on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut USA chart. The milestone builds on the momentum of his breakout global hit “La Diabla,” which has surpassed 1 billion streams worldwide and made history as the longest-running #1 Latin solo song on Spotify’s Global chart.
When speaking on the publishing deal, Xavi stated: “Joining UMPG marks an exciting new chapter for me as a songwriter, and I’m ready to keep taking Música Mexicana to a global level.”
“Xavi is one of the most exciting and culturally significant young artists in music today. His ability to honor the roots of Música Mexicana while pushing the genre forward with a fresh, global perspective makes him truly exceptional. We are thrilled to welcome Xavi to the UMPG family and look forward to supporting his continued growth as a songwriter and creative force,” said Alexandra Lioutikoff, President, Latin America & U.S. Latin at Universal Music Publishing Group.
“Xavi has an undeniable gift for making music that feels rooted and right now. What he’s accomplished this early speaks to his instinct, his vision, and the authentic connection he’s built with fans globally. We’re excited to welcome him to UMPG and support what’s next as he helps define the future of Música Mexicana,” said Ana Rosa Santiago, Senior Vice President, A&R Latin Music at Universal Music Publishing Group.
Last year, Xavi made history as the youngest-ever recipient of the ASCAP Latin Music Award for Songwriter of the Year, earning the honor at just 21 years old. He also received his first iHeartRadio Music Award for Best New Artist – Regional Mexican, in addition to multiple Premio Lo Nuestro wins, including Mexican Music Fusion of the Year and Best New Artist – Mexican Music. His growing catalog includes collaborations with Grupo Frontera, Carín León, Belinda, Fuerza Regida, Gabito Ballesteros, Manuel Turizo, and more.
Xavi is currently in the midst of his X Tour across Mexico, following the success of his sold-out U.S. tour earlier this year. He recently took the stage on May 29 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, as part of MexTour Live, the official send-off celebration for the Mexican National Team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Further cementing his connection to soccer, Xavi is also featured on Telemundo’s official FIFA World Cup 2026 anthem, “Somos Más,” alongside Carlos Vives, Wisin, and Emilia.
