Miami, FL (May 5, 2026) – As part of the Cinco de Mayo celebration, Pitbull invites Los Tucanes de Tijuana to the Roundhay Festival 2026 in Leeds, United Kingdom, where he will headline the event on Friday, July 3.
The announcement coincides with Cinco de Mayo, highlighting the addition of one of the most influential bands in Mexican music to Pitbull’s first show in Leeds. Los Tucanes de Tijuana join previously announced artists Jason Derulo, Tinie Tempah, and Lil Jon, with more names to be confirmed soon.
Mexican norteño band Los Tucanes de Tijuana are famous for their live performances. With over 12 million listeners on Spotify, they are known for their bright, buoyant sound coupled with social commentary which has made them one of the most respected groups in this Mexican genre. Pitbull himself is a collaborator, releasing a remix of their song “La Chona” last year with lead songwriter Mario Quintero Lara.
Los Tucanes de Tijuana are synonymous with the boom of norteño music in the 90s and 2000s, with the release of beloved songs “El Tucanazo,” “La Chona” and “Vivir de Noche,” earning praise from Rolling Stone and more. Their influence and cultural impact is phenomenal. In 2012, the band won a Latin Grammy for their album 365 Días and they made history as the first norteño group to perform at Coachella.
