October 9, 2026 – Global icon Daddy Yankee launches a new musical era with the galvanizing new single “BOTZ (Besame Otra Vez)” out today LISTEN HERE. Continuing his unstoppable evolution, DY has also announced his thirteenth studio album, LA POSTAL to be released on October 30th via DY Music. The new music arrives on the eve of DY being honored as the Latin Recording Academy’s 2026 Person of the Year; the private gala will be held on November 11th in Las Vegas as part of Latin GRAMMY® Week.
The Puerto Rico-born artist, entrepreneur, and visionary has consistently innovated intergenerationally, and this new music is no exception. With the album’s first single “BOTZ,” DY creates a soundscape of heavenly keys fluttering like a harp, with loose guitar curls around its head-nodding beat, and his instantly recognizable rapid-fire cadence. Fittingly, it culminates on a stadium-size DY refrain. The track was co-written by DY and Keityn, and produced by Jeremy Ayala, L.e.x.v.z., DUP and Xound.
Directed by STILLZ, the music video for “BOTZ” moves frame by frame in stop-motion toward a single kiss between real couples. Daddy Yankee’s performance cuts through with the raw visual quality that defines STILLZ’s work. Watch it HERE.
Discussing “BOTZ” DY says, “It touches on my hardcore reggaeton roots with some new textures and melodies. It’s got the DY sound, and it’s very catchy. You might think ‘BOTZ’ is about technology and robots, but it actually stands for ‘Besame Otra Vez’ which translates to ‘Kiss me one more time’ in English. It’s the first track on the new album and a perfect way to open the record. The best algorithm that we have in history is a kiss.”

LA POSTAL is DY’s first proper concept album. He threaded the central theme of love through all 15 tracks, tying them together into one clear and cohesive vision. The phrase, LA POSTAL, translates to “Postcard”—and these songs are letters of love, signed, sealed, and sent directly from DY’s heart. As well as romantic, familial and self-love, it is also his love letter to Latin music itself. The album also serves a cross-cultural journey, co-mingling Afro, Caribbean and even Punjabi sounds with the signature style that forever cemented him as “The King of Reggaeton.”
DY states, “A postcard says something a text can’t; I stopped, I thought of you, and I wanted you to hold onto it. That’s the spirit of this album.”
