Miami, FL (May 8, 2026) – 2x GRAMMY® and 2x Latin GRAMMY® nominee, and granddaughter of the legendary Pedro Infante, Lupita Infante, has released her fourth studio album, “Aunque Me Duela,” her most vulnerable project to date.
Lupita Infante’s new album arrives as a deeply intentional exploration of ranchera music, rooted in its most expressive and unvarnished traditions. “I chose songs that truly embody the spirit of ranchera, a sound that is gritty, raw, and open, where the lyrics are very vulnerable and even dramatic. I wanted to let myself fully enter the place that connects me with each song,” Infante says, highlighting the emotional foundation behind the project.
Across the record, Infante leans into the emotional honesty that defines ranchera, embracing both its heartbreak and its catharsis. The project ultimately acknowledges the genre’s unique relationship with sadness, where sorrow is not only expressed but also embraced. As Infante reflects, “sometimes it feels good to be sad. There’s something in ranchera music that provides an outlet to that feeling.”
The album features a total of eight tracks, along with a standout collaboration with fellow Música Mexicana Dynasty, Leonardo Aguilar, grandson of Antonio Aguilar. Additionally, the album features the previously released tracks “Con Todo Respeto,” and “Prenderte Una Vela.”
