Miami, FL (January 14, 2025) – Two-time GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® nominee Lupita Infante earned two nominations at the 2026 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, including Mexican Music Female Artist of the Year and Mariachi/Ranchero Song of the Year for her collaboration “Amémonos de Nuevo” with Leonardo Aguilar.
When speaking on her nomination, Lupita Infante stated, I am beyond excited and incredibly honored to be nominated for two Premio Lo Nuestro categories. Premio Lo Nuestro has always meant so much to me because it exists to celebrate Latin music in spaces where, historically, our language, our culture, and our stories weren’t always welcomed or valued. Receiving these nominations right now feels especially meaningful. We’re living in a moment where many immigrants are being made to feel unseen or unwelcome, and yet our music continues to travel, connect, and be heard. To be recognized in Música Mexicana feels powerful. For me, this represents a commitment to preserving and evolving traditional Mexican music, honoring its roots while keeping it relevant in the present moment. It also means a great deal to be acknowledged as a woman in genres that haven’t always made space for us. I receive these 2 nominations with deep gratitude and respect.”
The granddaughter of the legendary Pedro Infante, Lupita has emerged as one of the most critically praised Música Mexicana artists of the new generation, honoring a legacy that continues to resonate across Mexican communities worldwide. The 2026 nominations add to a growing list of accolades, including two GRAMMY® and two Latin GRAMMY® nominations, the Latino Spirit Award from the California Latino Legislative Caucus, and the Mayor’s Excellence Award from the City of Downey, CA.
The 2025 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards will take place on Thursday, February 19th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, and will broadcast LIVE on Univision. Voting is now open on PremioLoNuestro.com.
