Miami, FL. (October 21, 2025) – Last night, Billboard brought together the Latin music industry’s most influential artists, executives, and visionaries for the 2025 Latin Power Players event at Casadonna Miami. This intimate event, part of Billboard Latin Music Week, was dedicated to the annual list of honorees across various sectors of Latin music with networking, speeches, awards, alongside custom cocktails like the Bad Johnnie and Carajillo made with Johnnie Walker Black Label.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Miami, the evening featured an exciting awards ceremony recognizing key figures shaping the Latin music landscape.
Ángel Kaminsky and Ana Martinez, President of Universal Music Latin Entertainment and GM of Fono, respectively, were honored with the Regional Mexican Airplay Label of the Year, presented by Ela Taubert.
George Prajin and Peso Pluma, co-founders of Double P Records, received the Regional Mexican Albums Label of the Year award, presented by Leila Cobo, Chief Content Officer, Latin/Español, Billboard. “It is more than an honor to receive this award alongside this great man, who is like a father to me. Thank God we’ve had the blessing of becoming partners, more than family, more than everything we’ve achieved together, we’ve done it as a team. We’ve built such an important record label as Double P Records, giving opportunities to Mexican artists, artists who truly deserve that chance,” said Peso Pluma.
Noah Assad, CEO and co-founder of Rimas Entertainment, was awarded with Hot Latin Songs Label of the Year, also presented by Leila Cobo. Upon receiving his award, Assad said: “First of all, thank God, my wife, and this amazing winning team who has been with me for many years, working toward everything we’ve dreamed of, everything we’ve achieved, and everything we still have left to accomplish.” He also took a moment to acknowledge Nir Seroussi, who was honored as Latin Executive of the Year: “I truly want to give credit where it’s due—Nir is a mentor to me, one of the few people I can count on day and night. He’s a great teacher, a counselor; I want to thank him and honor him.”
Later in the evening, Nir Seroussi, Executive Vice President of Interscope Capitol, was recognized as Latin Executive of the Year in an emotional presentation by John Janick (CEO of Interscope Records), J Balvin, and Xavi. After accepting the award, Seroussi shared: “I’m really grateful for the one person who’s been there through every high, every low: my beautiful wife, Sandra. She’s the heart of everything I do. The real executive of the year. And the only person who tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to. I’ve always said that she can do this job better than me. And honestly, most days, she already does. Thank you to Leila, Hannah, and Tom for recognizing what we’ve accomplished these past six years. My name may be on the award, but this truly belongs to the entire team. The ones who turn ideas into reality and keep this movement moving forward.”
Sony Music Publishing was honored as Publishing Corporation of the Year,in an award presented by Leila Cobo to president/CEO Jorge Mejía, a graduate of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
Alex Gallardo, president of Sony Music Latin received the award for Label of the Year in Top Latin Albums from Colombian superstar Kapo. Sony also won Latin Pop Airplay and Albums Label of the year; Tropical Airplay and albums Label of the year; Latin Rhythm Airplay Label of the year; and Latin Airplay Label of the year.

The 2025 Billboard Latin Power Players event highlighted the depth, diversity, and dynamism of today’s latin music scene, serving as a standout moment of this year’s Billboard Latin Music Week.
