Arcángel, Tommy Torres, and Zhamira Zambrano, among surprise guest cameos for Girasoles concert series
Jay Wheeler is nominated for his third LATIN GRAMMY® for “Roma” in the “Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance” category
Miami, FL (October 20, 2025) – With two SOLD-OUT shows, Puerto Rican singer and Latin GRAMMY® nominee Jay Wheeler presented “Girasoles” over the weekend at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, marking his seventh and eight performances at the prestigious venue. The anticipated performances were recognized by the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, which awarded him recognition for his legacy to date, at the venue.

GIRASOLES: THE EVOLUTION
Produced by José “Pepe” Dueño, and under the creative direction of Gabriel Gil from Golden Hour Music, the show portrayed Wheeler’s emotional maturity and transformation through personal growth. Under Dynamic Records, the label founded by Wheeler and his manager, Luis Suárez Silva “Siru”, Girasoles stands as a large-scale production that reaffirms his commitment to excellence, talent, and the creation of world-class performances.
The stage design, led by José Díaz of DHI Studios in collaboration with Golden Hour Music, offered an immersive experience featuring a screen system approximately 130 feet wide arranged in a semicircle, with a 53-foot sunflower-shaped centerpiece created by Puerto Rican collective AS&S. The setup also included a rotating stage — currently the only one of its kind in Puerto Rico — which on several occasions hosted a 20-piece symphonic ensemble composed of students from the Escuela Libre de Música and the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music.

The production involved nearly 150 staff, including a seven-piece band, twelve dancers, and a skilled technical and production crew of about eighty specialists. The wardrobe, designed by Gax Company, complemented the show’s aesthetic with pieces inspired by the artist’s current creative era.
EMOTION AND MEMORIES: FROM GIRASOLES TO THE CLASSICS
Among the most emotional moments of the night was the show’s dedication to his firstborn, Aiunii, who was present in the audience along with her family. Later, the audience witnessed a moving scene when Wheeler performed “Mejor que tú,” and his mother went up on stage to embrace him, sparking a wave of applause and shouts of excitement throughout the Coliseum.
For three hours, Jay Wheeler performed more than forty songs spanning his career — from the hits off his latest album Girasoles to the classics that have marked his artistic journey.
The night opened with “Aiunii” and flowed through songs like “Abrázame Fuerte,” “Roma,” “Una Como Tú,” and “NSQMQ,” then connected with anthems such as “La Curiosidad,” “Fragancia,” “La Vida y sus Cosas,” and “Eazt,” the song that closed the evening.
The artist shared the stage over the weekend with special guests, including Robi, with whom he performed “Te Hice Una Balada”; Dominican singer Chris Lebrón, on “Desde Mis Ojos”; Brytiago, on “Desnudarte”; Ela Taubert, on “No Supiste Cuidarnos”; Kenny, on “Ya Ni Sé”; and his wife, Zhamira Zambrano, with whom he shared a moment of chemistry while performing “Díselo” and “Extrañándote.” During the second and final show, Wheeler surprised the crowd with an impressive lineup of guests: Chris Lebrón, on “Desde Mis Ojos”; Conep, on “Ese K”; Kenny, on “Ya Ni Sé”; and Venezuelan artist Noreh, on his hits “Maquillaje,” “Multiverso,” and “Lugar Seguro.”
One of the most special moments of the weekend was, without a doubt, the meeting between Jay Wheeler and Tommy Torres, who joined forces on stage to perform “Amor de Febrero” and Torres’ iconic hit “Nunca Imaginé.” The energy of the audience also soared when Arcángel joined Wheeler to perform “Si Te Veo” and his hit “Por Amar a Ciegas,” lighting up the venue with a perfect mix of nostalgia and urban power.

TWO NIGHTS FULL OF GRATITUDE AND DEDICATION TO FANS
“These shows represent everything I’ve learned and everything that continues to grow within me. Singing at home will always be a unique experience, and it makes me so happy that the people who believed in me from the very beginning are sharing such beautiful moments throughout these two nights. This concert symbolizes everything I’m living as an artist — and for me, each sunflower represents light and happiness,” expressed Wheeler, visibly moved before a SOLD-OUT Coliseo.

With these two shows, Jay Wheeler reaffirmed his deep connection with Puerto Rico and solidified a new chapter in his career, marked by maturity, renewal, and authenticity. Girasoles was not just a concert — it was a celebration of his personal and professional growth, a production that makes clear his evolution continues to bloom with purpose and identity.
The Puerto Rican singer-songwriter also earned his third Latin GRAMMY® nomination in 2025, in the category of “Best Urban/Fusion Performance” for his track “Roma,” further cementing his place as one of the most versatile and emotionally resonant voices in Latin music. His latest album, Girasoles, has amassed over 160 million global streams, deeply connecting with fans through songs such as “Una Como Tú,” “No Sé Qué Me Queda (NSQMQ),” “Abrázame Fuerte,” and “Nota” — a collaboration with Omar Courtz, which alone has surpassed 40 million streams across digital platforms.
