Cayey, Puerto Rico (October 9, 2025) – Urban artist Jory Boy makes a powerful return to the music scene with the release of his new album “Matando La Liga 2,” his first project under the prestigious label La Base Music Group, led by reggaetón icon Wisin, with executive co-production by Hyde “El Químico,” known for his distinctive creative vision and influence within the genre.
This highly anticipated album serves as a sequel to Jory Boy’s influential 2015 project “Matando La Liga,” a record that marked an era in Latin urban music and remains a reference point for an entire generation of artists.
“Matando La Liga 2” delivers 19 tracks blending Jory Boy’s romantic and street essence with a fresh, innovative sound. Collaborations include some of the biggest names in the genre such as Farruko (“Replay”), Chencho Corleone (“Incorregible”), Wisin (“Avísale”), Jowell & Randy (“Quitipon”), J Balvin (“QDMT”), Caleb Calloway (“Máquina”), and Gotay “El Autentiko” & Ñengo Flow (“Combi Perfect”), among others.
The focus track, titled “Replay” featuring Farruko, is a classic slow reggaetón that revives the melodic essence of the genre. The song and the official video will premiere today at 8:00 p.m. on Jory Boy’s official YouTube channel and on all digital platforms.

The album artwork, like its predecessor, draws inspiration from Japanese aesthetics—a country Jory Boy has often described as his favorite, despite not having visited yet. This visual concept reflects his artistic vision and his desire to bring reggaetón to global audiences, bridging cultures through music.
A Silent Pillar of Urban Music
Jory Boy, whose real name is Fernando Luis Sierra Benítez, began his career as part of the legendary duo Nova & Jory, who in the early 2010s became pioneers of melodic reggaetón, fusing romantic lyrics with street rhythms. Songs like “Bien Loco,” “Aprovecha” (with Daddy Yankee), and “La Noche Perfecta” defined a golden era for reggaetón duos.
Following the duo’s separation, Jory launched a solo career, showcasing his unique vocal versatility and lyrical sensitivity—traits that set him apart within the genre. His artistry has influenced a new generation of performers, including global stars like Bad Bunny and Maluma, who have cited Jory as one of their early musical inspirations.
For over a decade, Jory Boy has been a fundamental figure in modern reggaetón, especially during its evolution toward more melodic, emotional sounds. His ability to connect with audiences through honest lyrics—while staying true to the street and flow of the genre—has earned him the respect of his peers and the admiration of fans worldwide.
With “Matando La Liga 2,” Jory Boy not only celebrates his legacy but also reaffirms his place among the elite of Latin urban music, proving that his artistry remains relevant, powerful, and capable of transcending generations.
