Miami, FL (August 27, 2025) – The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (LSHOF) announces the inductees and honorees who will be recognized at the highly anticipated 12th edition of LA MUSA AWARDS, taking place on October 16, 2025, at the prestigious Flamingo Theater (The Four Ambassadors) in Miami.
The exclusive awards ceremony will celebrate the legends behind the most iconic songs in Latin music with top-tier presenters and attendees. Founded by music visionaries Rudy Pérez and Desmond Child, the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame aims to honor and preserve the legacy of Latin music’s greatest songwriters and composers across every genre. A hallmark event that celebrates the extraordinary talents and contributions of these creators, LA MUSA AWARDS has become the standard of excellence for those whose work has shaped the global soundscape.

The 2025 Inductees are:
- Enrique Bunbury: Spanish singer and songwriter (Zaragoza) who has redefined the course of Latin rock with his innovative artistry.
- Andrés Castro: Colombian producer, musician, and songwriter, creator of countless hits that have marked generations while collaborating with world-renowned artists.
- Jorge Luis Piloto: Renowned Cuban songwriter with more than 500 songs recorded by major international stars.
- Lalo Schifrin (posthumous): Argentine pianist, composer, and conductor, internationally acclaimed for creating the iconic score of the Mission: Impossible series.
- Mónica Vélez: Acclaimed Mexican songwriter whose songs have sold millions of copies and surpassed 4.6 billion streams on digital platforms.

- Ángela Aguilar: La Musa Elena Casals Award 2025
- Charles Fox: Desi Arnaz Pioneer Award 2025
- J&N Publishing (Juan Hidalgo & Nelson Estévez): Ralph S. Peer Publishers Award 2025
- Mike O’Neill: La Musa Founders Award 2025
- Lenny Tavárez: La Musa Triunfador Award 2025
In addition, the iconic song “El Rey”, written and recorded by José Alfredo Jiménez, will be honored as The Song of All Time for its enormous influence and contribution to Latin music. Its impact and success are reflected in the countless versions recorded, including those by Vicente Fernández, Alejandro Fernández, Luis Miguel, and many others.
Event Details & Schedule
The ceremony will kick off with a black carpet at 6:00 p.m. to welcome honorees, special guests, and members of the media. The awards presentation will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. featuring tributes and acceptance remarks from honorees and inductees.
