(August 7, 2025) — Exploring tropical rhythms, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jay Wheeler is surprising fans with the release of “Por Fa No Te Vayas”, a heartfelt bachata that marks a new chapter in his artistic evolution. In this new single, Wheeler taps into his most romantic and refreshing side through the tropical genre, reaffirming his place as one of the most versatile artists in Latin music. Inspired by fellow artists who have embraced tropical sounds, Jay Wheeler decided to explore bachata with a song about heartbreak and the hope that the person you imagine spending forever with will stay in your life. “Por Fa No Te Vayas” came together during a creative session in his home studio after hearing a bachata produced by Yeziell and co-written by Puerto Rican songwriter Vasave. Adding his signature style and voice, Wheeler helped shape the track into an intimate, melodic tune with the tropical vibe he wanted to explore.
“I wanted to do something tropical and different, to challenge myself with a style I hadn’t tried before. I had done salsa once, but I felt I still needed to do bachata. I never imagined it would turn out so special—honestly, it’s one of my favorite songs,” said Jay Wheeler.
Alongside this release, Wheeler recently offered fans a closer look at his personal and creative life with the documentary “Girasoles: Desde La Raíz,” directed by Enrique (Emma) González and produced by Dynamic Records. The film accompanies his most personal album yet, Girasoles, offering an intimate glimpse into the creative process behind each track.
The Girasoles album, released by Dynamic Records and distributed by EMPIRE, debuted on Spotify’s Top Global Albums Debut chart, with three songs trending simultaneously on YouTube Puerto Rico. Tracks like “Una Como Tú,” “No Sé Qué Me Queda (NSQMQ),” and “Abrázame Fuerte” have resonated deeply with fans. Meanwhile, “Nota,” Wheeler’s collaboration with Omar Courtz, has surpassed 30 million global streams and over 5.9 million views on YouTube.
