With that in mind, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Jay Wheeler premieres “Desde La Raíz” — an intimate and revealing documentary about his most personal music project to date: Girasoles. Inspired by a flower with deep emotional meaning in his life, Girasoles captures the most significant moments that have shaped who Jay Wheeler is. The album is divided into three phases — hardship, transformation, and growth — reflecting both his personal and artistic evolution. The documentary takes viewers through each stage of the album’s creation, from early concepts and songwriting to the studio sessions and collaborations that brought it to life.
“Desde La Raíz” features heartfelt interviews with those closest to Jay — including creative collaborators, songwriters, and producers — all of whom agree that Girasoles was made with love, intention, and purpose behind every track.
In addition to interviews and candid reflections, the documentary includes exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the Girasoles music videos, as well as personal moments where Jay opens up about his family, personal growth, and his hope that this project can serve as inspiration for others.
