When asked about the inspiration behind her album title, Lupita doesn’t hesitate: “La Corona Es Mía” (The Crown is Mine) is the title of the album and one of the songs on it, but it’s also a personal statement. It’s my way of saying that I’m no longer going to make myself small. This project represents a moment in my life where I’ve decided to believe in myself despite the circumstances, despite any fear or any barriers. In this industry, people often try to measure us by what we produce, by the numbers, by what’s visible—but I feel that our value as artists isn’t found there. Our value comes from who we are, from the soul, from our essence, and our stories. So, I deeply believe that when a woman dares to tell her truth, she not only frees herself but also opens the way for many others.” “La Corona Es Mía” is a reminder to myself that I don’t have to wait for permission to take over my space. That crown has always been there symbolically—I just needed to recognize that it truly belongs to me.”
Additionally, Lupita Infante has officially announced her 2025 tour, a landmark moment in her rising career that will see her performing across the U.S. and Mexico. With this latest release and tour, Lupita continues solidifying her status as one of the most acclaimed voices in Latin music today, adding another powerful chapter to her prestigious and ever-growing discography. Her artistry has not gone unnoticed — both of her previous albums have earned GRAMMY® nominations: her debut, La Serenata, was honored in 2021 with a nomination for Best Regional Mexican Album (including Tejano), and her sophomore album, Amor Como en las Películas de Antes, followed with a nomination for Best Música Mexicana Album in 2024.
