Miami, FL (January 10, 2025) – Two-time GRAMMY® nominee and the granddaughter of the legendary Pedro Infante, Lupita Infante, is ushering in a powerful start to the new year with the release of the heartfelt lyrical power track, “¿Seguimos o No?” . The track blends traditional Mariachi music with modern pop music, creating a strikingly emotive tune that highlights the evolving sound of Música Mexicana. “¿Seguimos o No?” is about the crossroads in a relationship and the emotional complexity of deciding whether to stay or move on. The track was brought to life through a collaborative effort with acclaimed songwriters, producers, and artists from the Regional Mexican genre during a session at Spotify’s Los Angeles offices. Mauro Muñoz (known for his work with Reik, Carin León, and Kenia OS), Agua Tinta, and Fernandita Díaz alongside Lupita Infante created this song with heavy inspiration from the sounds of Camila Fernández, daughter of the legendary Mexican singer Alejandro Fernández. Speaking about Camila’s influence on the track and her broader musical taste, Lupita shared, “I love Camila’s musical style, her voice, and her songs. They’re very pop but use a mariachi base, and I adore that combination. I wanted to create a track the encopasses that sound that inspires me, while also adding my unique twist to it.”
