Miami, FL (August 16, 2024) – Lupita Infante is continuing to share the timeless global legacy of her grandfather, Pedro Infante, with the release of her new EP “Puras de Mi Abuelo, Vol. 1.” In this project, Lupita performs her own live cover of some of Pedro Infante’s most iconic songs. The EP consists of 5 songs and serves as the first volume of a 2-part series of this live project. Additionally, each track will feature a video, with 3 tracks being filmed in front of a live audience.
Lupita Infante shared her reasons for creating this tribute project to her grandfather, saying, “I always honor my grandfather in my concerts by including a collection of songs he performed, ready to sing whenever his fans request one. Recording these live covers felt like a beautiful project that could extend across multiple compilations.” She also emphasized her desire to make the project live, explaining, “Live performances have a unique energy that’s different from recording in a studio. There’s a special magic in performing in front of an audience, even if everything isn’t perfect. As artists, we truly find our element in these moments. This EP/album is a way to capture that magic.”
“Puras de Mi Abuelo, Vol. 1” is the first installment of a two-part live project dedicated to honoring Pedro Infante. While the first volume features Lupita’s solo, the second volume will include collaborations with other musicians, allowing her to honor her grandfather alongside fellow artists.
