Miami, FL. (June 14, 2024) – After months of preparation, Jay Wheeler took to the stage last night in front of a SOLD-OUT crowd to kick off his highly anticipated U.S. “TRAPPii Tour” at The Theater at Madison Square Gardenin New York City. Produced by Loud & Live Entertainment, Wheeler took audiences through an unprecedented musical journey that featured over 30 tracks of the Multi-Platinum artist’s catalog.
As the clock struck 9:00 PM, the energy and the roaring of the crowd intensified as Wheeler took to the stage to kick off what would be one the most memorable nights of the Puerto Rican artist’s career. Inspired by his 2023 album and short film “TRAPPii”, Wheeler took the audience through an unprecedented musical journey by way of three distinct musical acts that would last almost 2 hours.
Accompanied by a production team of 55 staff, crew and dancers, the stage lit up to a recreated set inspired by his ground-breaking short film “TRAPPii”. Wheeler kicked off the first of three musical sets with the song by the same name, followed by multiple Trap-inspired hits, including “Throwback” and “Repeat”. As he progressed through the set, incredible visuals, impeccable lighting and a 40’ x 16’ wide screen would transition Wheeler through each act. As he dove into the second musical set, which showcased his trademark romanticism with classics such as “La Última Canción” and “Me Enamoré”, surprise guest Noreh would join Wheeler on stage for a spectacular rendition of “Lugar Seguro”, which would be followed by a special performance with his wife, Zhamira.
Jay and Zhamira would captivate the crowd, who’d sang at the top of their lungs to the couple’s hits, “Dícelo” and “Extrañándote”. As they finished their performance, Wheeler informed the audience that they wanted to share some very personal news. As the crowd went into a massive roar of excitement for Latin music’s newest Power Couple, Jay and Zhamira revealed to the world that they are expecting a new member into the family … their first child.
