Eslabon’s 5 nominations include:
- Top Duo/Group

- Top Latin Duo/Group
- Top Latin Album
- Top Latin Song
Previously, Eslabon Armado has received two Billboard Music Awards, in 2021 and 2022 respectively, in the “Top Latin Duo/Group” category.
Eslabon Armado continues to make 2023 their year, from becoming the first Mexican Music group to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 with their hit “Ella Baila Sola”, becoming the first Musica Mexicana group to perform on Good Morning America, having the most streamed Latin song on Spotify in 2023, and recently performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The group’s most recent single “La Fresa” with the young Mexican artist Gabito Ballesteros, is already causing a sensation on digital platforms with 7 million streams on Spotify and counting. The song, written and produced by Eslabon Armado’s lead singer Pedro Tovar, focuses on the perspective of a girl who does not seek validation by being in a relationship. In his recent Rolling Stone article, Pedro described the song as “for the girls,” stating: “It’s about a girl who’s in control because you usually hear a guy in the song, and it’s usually about him and then comes the girl. I always wanted to do a song like [“La Fresa”] but it never worked out, and I think this song has the vibe.”
The song marked Eslabon Armado’s first single since the release of his hit album “Desvelado,” which has amassed over one billion streams on Spotify, becoming one of the most streamed Musica Mexicana albums of all time.
