| Miami, FL (October 6, 2023) – After making Musica Mexicana history, Eslabon Armado is ready to do it all over again with the release of their new single “La Fresa” feat. Gabito Ballesteros. This marks the first single since the release of their chart-topping studio album “Desvelado”. The single is available now on all digital platforms. Upon the success of their No. 1 Billboard Global 200 hit, “Ella Baila Sola,” Eslabon Armado has broken barriers for Musica Mexicana and transcended the genre to unforeseen heights globally. With the release of “La Fresa” featuring the rising young Mexican artist Gabito Ballesteros, they are ready to prove that the genre’s global chart dominance is here to stay. The track, written and produced by Eslabon Armado’s lead singer, Pedro Tovar, centers around the perspective of a girl, who is not looking for validation by being in a relationship. In their recent Rolling Stone article, Pedro described the song as being “for the girls”, stating “It’s about a girl who’s in control because you’re always hearing a guy in a song, and it’s usually about him and then the girl comes in. I’ve always wanted to do a song like [“La Fresa”] but it never worked out, and I think this one has the vibe.” |
The music video, which is released alongside the single, starts off with a girl walking in the bathroom, and “Ella Baila Sola” being played faintly in the background. She writes “La Fresa” on the mirror, signaling a new chapter of their career. The focus is then turned on a packed night club, foreshadowing the change of direction the group is taking with this release.
