Miami, FL. (August 23, 2023) – The jewels of KPOP, LAPILLUS, have remade a fresh rendition of their hit track “ULALA” into a captivating full Spanish version, becoming the group’s first-ever Spanish single.
Though this is LAPILLUS’s first Spanish single, it is not the first time that the group has sung in Spanish. In 2022, before their official debut, the group released a rendition performance cover of the Dominican anthem “WOW BB” by Natti Natasha, El Alfa, and Chimbala alongside their brother group TFN. They also took the stage at the 2022 Asia Artist Awards and performed the encapsulating rendition of the track. Lapillus has also released a performance cover of Camila Cabello’s “Don’t Go Yet” and member Chanty, who is of Argentinian-Filipino origin, released a cover of Disney’s Little Mermaid “Part of Your World” in Spanish.
Coming off their recent Nickelodeon Mexico’s Kids Choice Awards nomination for “Favorite K-Pop Group”, the group’s fearless approach to trying something new has positioned them as innovators within the industry. By housing the only currently active Latina K-POP star in the industry, they are ushering in a new era of music that reshapes cultural and linguistic limits.
