Miami, FL. (June 29, 2023) – Coming off the success of the No. 1 Billboard Global 200 hit, “Ella Baila Sola”, Eslabon Armado has released the passionate music video for “Tomando Tequila” with Jhayco under DEL records.
The supergroup are diving deep and leaving their heart on their sleeve as they reminisce on a lost love in this powerful video. A collaboration with multi-platinum selling artist Jhay Cortez, who traveled all the way from Puerto Rico to Palmdale, CA to film the video, join forces in delivering a touching story that depicts the feeling of losing someone you truly loved. The track which quite literally translates to “drinking tequila,” explores the dark side of getting through an intense heartbreak, and the yearn of hoping to find an escape from the haunting pain that follows a break-up.
The video starts with Pedro Tovar, the lead singer of the group, in a phone booth trying to call the girl he once loved. When she doesn’t answer, he realizes that no matter how hard he tries, the hopes of igniting the sparks between the two is gone. As the video continues, he details the anguish in his heart as he comes to the realization that his one true love is nothing more than a past memory. Showing clips of a bloody rose, a dark angel, and ordering drinks at a bar, the video uses an array of key visualizations to convey the true meaning of this compelling track.
As part of their newly released album, DESVELADO, and under the production of DEL studios, “Tomando Tequila” joins the powerful forces of Eslabon Armado and Jhay Cortez in an undeniably beautiful collaboration that will hit you straight in the heart.
