Miami, FL. (June 21, 2023) – 2023 is the year of Lapillus. The group made a successful breakthrough in the LATAM market by presenting the musical performance of the Venezuelan duo Mau y Ricky alongside Sebastian Yatra at the 2023 Premio Lo Nuestro and garnering 2000 fans at their first fan meeting in Mexico at Plaza Auriga San Pedro. Today, the six-membered girl group released its 2nd mini album ‘GIRL’s ROUND Part. 2’.
In September 2022, Lapillus released ‘GIRL’s ROUND Part. 1’ which showcased the group’s ambition. Now with ‘GIRL’s ROUND Part. 2’, Lapillus levels up by channeling the girl crush energy successfully and proving that their musical ability has grown in the wider spectrum. The title song “Who’s Next” not only gives pleasure to viewers but also boosts their self-esteem with its magnificent beat and encouraging lyrics like “I was born to be a winner” and “I’m Perfect in Myself”.
“Who’s Next” was written and composed by Bullseye (Bull$Eye), who previously worked on Lapillus’ debut songs “HIT YA!” and “GRATATA” and Monkey Vegas and band SBGB (SeByeok Gongbang)’s main vocalist Hee-Yeon participated.
‘GIRL’s ROUND Part. 2’ contains a total of four songs featuring Lapillus’ unique musical color and genre diversity. This summer will be newly colored with “Marionette” which is contrary to the title song “Who’s Next”, “Paper” which expresses Lapillus’ incredible love, and “ULALA” which contains the lively energy and exciting rhythms of teenagers.
Since their debut, Lapillus has been gaining the attention of fans worldwide. With their promotions in Miami and Mexico, Lapillus has been able to interact on a personal level with international Lapis. While in Miami, the group had a fan meeting of over 300 guests at South Florida’s first K-Pop store KPop Kastle. The event’s success made the news via Deco Drive. Later this year, in August, Lapillus is set to perform at KCON LA and KAMP MEXICO.
