SUPER JUNIOR performed ‘Mango’ and ‘Don’t Wait’ from their latest album (The 11th Album Vol.1 ‘The Road : Keep on Going’) along with some of their past hit songs like ‘Black Suit’, ‘SORRY, SORRY, and ‘Bonamana’.
Miami, FL. (August 23, 2022) – SM Entertainment held ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS@HUMAN CITY_SUWON’ on August 20 at Suwon World Cup Stadium in Suwon, South Korea. The latest SMTOWN LIVE – a concert series established in 2008 which features performances from artists spanning SM Entertainment’s roster – the event drew in an audience of nearly 30,000 people, and was broadcast online simultaneously via the global livestream platform Beyond LIVE.
The four-hour concert gave fans the opportunity to see exciting group and solo performances from SM’s roster, beginning with breakout girl group aespa. Girls’ Generation performed their newest single “FOREVER 1,” coinciding with their fifteen-year anniversary as a group. In addition to performances from NCT 127, NCT DREAM, NCT U, and WayV, NCT members, SUNGCHAN and SHOTARO, collaborated with SMROOKIES EUNSEOK, SEUNGHAN, and SHOHEI for the first time. Meanwhile, GOT the beat – a supergroup project unit featuring BoA, Girls’ Generation’s TAEYEON and HYOYEON, Red Velvet’s SEULGI and WENDY, and aespa’s KARINA and WINTER – performed their single “Step Back.”
The show also gave fans an exclusive first look at upcoming unreleased songs from SHINee’s KEY, EXO’s XIUMIN, and KANGTA. From TVXQ!’s energetic performance to Super Junior’s hit medley. The group performed ‘Mango’ and ‘Don’t Wait’ from their latest album (The 11th Album Vol.1 ‘The Road : Keep on Going’) along with some of their past hit songs like ‘Black Suit’, ‘SORRY, SORRY, and ‘Bonamana’. Also, Red Velvet’s colorful solo and group stages and many more, the concert showcased a variety of genres and diverse skills from SM’s talented artists. The concert began with exciting DJ sets from HYO, Raiden, J.E.B., GINJO, IMLAY, and more to get the crowd excited.
At the event, SM officially launched “MUSIC NATION SMTOWN META-PASSPORT,” a digital passport and membership service, connecting the real world with the digital world by allowing fans to obtain digital stamps when viewing online and offline performances by SM artists. Additionally, various activities were available for fans at the event before entering the stage area, including photo booths, merchandise, and areas to practice choreography and fan chants with other attendees.
Up next, ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS@TOKYO’ will be held over three days at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan from August 27 – August 29.
