Miami, FL. (August 3, 2022) – After captivating 4.5 million viewers with an electrifying national television debut performance of the global viral hit “Pantysito” alongside Feid and Alejo at Premios Juventud, ROBI shows the world why he is fast becoming one of the most important Latin artists today. Today, ROBI continues his rise in the music industry with a collaboration that will revolutionize all social and digital platforms, and enlisted one of today’s most promising urban Latin acts, Jay Wheeler, for the release of his new single and video “Garabatos”. Released under Orion Records and Interscope Records, the new single and video is now available on all digital platforms.
Produced by AndoConJon and Flamez, “Garabatos” is a song that talks about love and the uncertainty that arises when you are in a relationship and you don’t know what the other person expects from you. “Garabatos” (“Doodles”) refers to those abstract moments that can’t be described; the moments that confuse your mind. With a flirtatious pop vibe and the combination of guitar and the melodious voices from Wheeler and ROBI, “Garabatos” is sure to win the hearts of fans around the world.
The music video was filmed in Miami and directed by José Emilio Sagaro of Film Heads. The visuals reflect the energy of the song and combine the vintage style of the 70’s with modern elements. Throughout the video you’ll see abstract visuals, and each scene will take the audience through empty spaces that are filled with the memories of the love for a significant other.
It’s worth mentioning that this is not the first collaboration between ROBI and Wheeler. Before ROBI embarked on this new chapter, he appeared in Eladio Carrión’s and Jay Wheeler’s video “Alejarme de Ti” as a drummer (one of the several instruments he studied in school). It was the first time ROBI met Wheeler, and little did he know that 8 months later they’d be releasing a new track together.
ROBI has quickly positioned himself as one of today’s rising Latin artists. Three months ago, ROBI shot to fame with the release of “Pantysito” together with Feid and Alejo, a track that has surpassed +45 million YouTube views and +115 million views on Spotify alone. The track was certified Gold in Spain and set Tik Tok trends with +451K user-generated videos on the platform. Most recently, ROBI collaborated with the Colombian artist Totoy El Frio for the release of “Perro Negro”, inspired by the famous Medellin nightclub of the same name.
ROBI received his first-ever nomination for this year’s Premios Juventud in the category “The New Generation – Male” and had his first national TV debut on the show, broadcast live from the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico.
This year, ROBI is certain to take his career to the next level and continue conquering music fans around the world.
