Miami, FL (November 5, 2026) – Lucy Vives unveils her debut EP, cimiento, an indie pop/alternative pop project that offers a first glimpse into her musical universe as an artist and songwriter. More than a collection of songs, the EP unfolds like a book of short stories, with each track introducing a different narrative, character, and perspective as Lucy explores new ways of expressing intimacy, vulnerability, and imagination.

“This first EP was a deeply introspective journey for me, one that ultimately became something like a book of short stories. Several of the songs are little stories of their own, and to me, this project is an introduction, a beginning for me and my music,” shares Lucy.
The project features five tracks: “Palpita,” “Nido,” “El Jaguar,” “Por Algo Será,” and “Tocar Fondo,” each exploring different emotions and settings. “Por Algo Será,” a story about the end of the world and the EP’s only love song, contrasts with “El Jaguar,” which transports listeners to a fictional cabaret with a sensual atmosphere.“Tocar Fondo,” co-written and produced alongside Duplat, stems from an honest exploration of moments of vulnerability and has become one of the songs Lucy envisions bringing to life onstage.
The EP also reflects the international nature of Lucy’s creative process. The songs were developed across Mexico City, New York, and Bogotá, in collaboration with a new generation of Latin American songwriters and producers.
“Palpita” was created alongside Ximena Sariñana and Patricio Dávila, while “El Jaguar” was written with Carlos Neda, Jorge Nehme, and other collaborators during a Warner Chappell songwriting camp. Meanwhile, “Por Algo Será” was produced by Ole Aguilar; “Nido” was written with Daniel McCausland and produced by Pipe Bernal at Sony’s 5020; and “Tocar Fondo” was created in Bogotá alongside Duplat.
For Lucy, being directly involved in the songwriting process of every track was essential to creating a project that felt genuinely her own.
“This is just a taste of what’s to come. This EP represents the first songs I wrote for this project,” she says.

The music is accompanied by an equally important visual concept. Each song features its own distinct aesthetic, developed between Bogotá and New York, two cities that played a significant role in shaping the project. The visuals bring to life the imagery, emotions, and characters Lucy envisioned while writing each song, creating a cohesive visual identity that connects every piece of the EP.
Cimiento marks the beginning of a new chapter in Lucy Vives’ career as she looks ahead to a year of artistic growth and evolution in 2027. With plans for new music, live performances, and the development of her debut studio album, Lucy continues to shape a project that reflects her artistic vision: cohesive, playful, daring, and above all, deeply her own.
“I want to continue growing as an artist and singer, perform more live shows, and create songs for an album that feels cohesive, really fun, a little daring, but above all, truly mine. That’s the goal: to always keep growing and sharing that with the audience,” Lucy shares.
