Miami, FL. (July 9, 2025) – After a year-long touring hiatus following the birth of his firstborn in September of last year, award-winning Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Jay Wheeler announced his long-awaited return to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico with a unique performance inspired by his latest album, Girasoles on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Wheeler shared the news with his fans through a special episode of his viral podcast, Random Chat, after several days of dropping hints about what he described as “a very special surprise.” This will be the third time, Latin music’s “Favorite Voice” will perform at the main venue in his native Puerto Rico.
For Wheeler, returning to his native island isn’t just about returning to the stage; it’s about reconnecting with his roots and the place where he began building his career as an artist. Performing again at the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot, in front of fans in his homeland, represents an act of gratitude, as it was on that very stage that he experienced some of the most important chapters of his career. Now, he returns with a new perspective, new songs, and a full heart, ready to write a new chapter with his fans.
The show will be a celebration of his latest album release, Girasoles, released in April of this year under Dynamic Records/EMPIRE. The 15-track production, which represents the artist’s artistic and personal growth through three stages: life’s challenges, the process of transformation, and emotional maturity, was met with overwhelming support from fans and critics worldwide.
