Miami, FL – The chart-topping sensation, Jay Wheeler made a special appearance at the Easterseals Festival of Chefsevent, a premier culinary event that focuses on raising funds for the Easter Seals South Florida High School. Easterseals South Florida (ESSF) is a leading provider of disability services and aims to change the way the world defines and views disabilities.
Jay Wheeler has an incredibly close family connection to autism and disability awareness, as his younger brother is on the spectrum. In addition to providing education for students with disabilities and autism, Easterseals also specializes in vocational training to assist students in garnering employment upon graduation. Employment discrimination for those with disabilities and autism in the workforce is something Jay is very passionate about, considering his 18-year-old brother recently graduated high school and faced the challenges of finding employment upon completion of his studies.
Jay Wheeler was honored with the “Ambassador Award,” celebrating his continuous activism to redefine the way the world defines and views disabilities and bring awareness to the global struggles within and beyond the workplace. Jay gave an emotional speech, highlighting his younger brother, as well as introducing the Culinary Students of Easterseals, reinforcing that they are the reason we are here tonight.
Jay Wheeler has had a huge past couple of months, with the release of his latest studio album “TRAPPii” alongside a short film tied to the album release, announcing the US Dates to his 2024 “TRAPPii” tour, and marrying his long-time finance and now wife, Zhamira Zambrano.
