A modern take on reggaeton fused with Kevin Roldán’s signature style, as well as Kalido’s voice, the track, with all elements combined, is a melting pot of rhythms and sounds that are impossible to forget. It is the perfect song to kick start a party and have a good time. Through the song, written by Kevin Roldán, Kalido, Jair Latin, and Escro, the artists’ discuss about the heartbreak. The title, “Te Empeliculaste”, actually comes from a popular Colombian saying which refers to a relationship in which one person begins to have feelings while the other continues to have fun and enjoy the moment. With the lyrics, the artists are describing this common situation of a person who ‘falls’ or ‘empelicula’ for the other person in the relationship. Directed by Felipe Mejia for KING FILMS, the music video was shot in Medellin, Colombia. Surrounded by luxury, fun, and ‘empeliculeo’, the video also features the participation of A-list celebrities, Valeria Duque and Laura Sanchez, two of Colombia’s hottest models today.
