With 27 #1s on the Billboard charts
Elvis Crespo releases his newest Album
MIAMI (February 9, 2018) — Grammy-winning singer, Elvis Crespo, releases his new album “Diomedizao” available today wherever fine music is sold. The new album released by Flash Music, is an homage to the late Vallenato singer Diomedes Diaz and includes 8 songs adapted from vallenato and cumbia songs with a tropical merengue twist.
“In 1999 in Bogota, men and women would sing of a name, a legend, by the name of Diomedes Díaz. It is a magical coincidence that my father’s name is Diomedes and my mother’s name was Irene Díaz. From that day he became a great friend and influence. One day my wife Maribel was watching the biopic soap opera “Cacique de la Junta” like the legend is called and she invited me to watch it with her. Automatically I was trapped in the story and we decided to do this homage,” said Elvis Crespo.
The new album features his hit single “La Ventana Marroncita.” The single has been a worldwide success with fans sending in accordion covers, dance choreography and more on social media from all over the world.
The album which went to pre-sale January 12th topped the Latin pre-sale charts on Apple iTunes in its first week.
