Miami, FL (February 8, 2019)- Global icon, Daddy Yankee’s new single “Con Calma” ft. Snow debuts at #1 in 33 countries. The track is currently No. 1 on Latin Song on the iTunes Latino Charts in the U.S., U.K. Australia, Sweden, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Peru, Romania, among other.
“Con Calma” is an uptempo dancehall reggaeton track and a remake of 1992’s Hot 100 #1 single “Informer” by Snow. The new version is written by Raymond Ayala (Daddy Yankee), and Darrin Kenneth O’Brien “Snow”. The single was produced by Juan Salinas and Oscar Salinas “Play & Skills” and co-produced by David “Scott Summers” Macias and Juan G. Rivera “Gaby Music”.
The track’s official music video has surpassed over 70 million views in 14 days. Shot between Los Angeles and Canada by director and previous collaborator Marlon Peña [Shaky Shaky]. The video intends to showcase the best energy and freshness between dance and music. “I wanted unify my teenage years, with the present to create cool sounds and moves that everybody around the world can enjoy,” explained Daddy Yankee.
Daddy Yankee previously hit the top of the list with his last single, “Dura”, which opened at No. 1 in more than 20 countries in 2018 following “Despacito’s” global record breaking success.
“Con Calma” collaboration enters the Billboard Hot 100 this week at No. 90 and debuted #1 on Billboard’s Latin Digital Songs Charts and #6 on Hot Latin Songs. With “Con Calma,” Yankee now has 11 total singles that have reached the Hot 100. The track is also #22 on Spotify’s Global Charts.
