About Snow
Darrin Kenneth O’Brien, better known by his stage name Snow, is a Canadian reggae musician who’s best known for his 1992 smash hit single “Informer”, which reached #1 on Billboard “Hot 100” chart in the U.S. His debut album 12 Inches of Snow sold over 8 million records worldwide. Written by Snow, M.C. Shan, and Ed Srittmond Leary, “Informer” remained number #1 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart for seven consecutive weeks, and the track was recorded twice in the Guinness Book of World Records as the best selling reggae single in US history, as well as the highest charting reggae single in history. His sophomore album Murder Love featured performances alongside reggae and dancehall legends Buju Banton, Beenie Man and Sly and Robbie, among others, and its singles “Anything for You” and “Sexy Girl” would not only earn him street and club cred in the Jamaican music scene but would help increase his popularity abroad. In the early 2000’s, he released the album Two Hands Clapping and would later on sign to Bugatti Music Entertainment where he’d team up with Grammy-winning producers Cool and Dre, Kent Jones and Scott Storch to record new material. In the mid 2000’s, he’d release the single “Shame” featuring Mykal Rose (Black Uhuru), whose proceeds would be donated to the fight against cancer.
