Daddy Yankee & Snow’s “Con Calma” Reigns at #1 on YouTube’s Global Music Videos charts

Miami, FL. (June 17, 2019) – Daddy Yankee breaks 2019 records for most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard‘s “Latin Airplay” chart. His latest single “Con Calma” ft. Snow celebrates its 7th week at No. 1 on the Billboard “Latin Airplay” chart and has spent 8 consecutive weeks No. 1 on Billboard’s “Hot Latin Songs” charts, with a total of 19 weeks on the charts.
The track and music video made global headlines last week when it became the first video published in 2019 to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube. The video for “Con Calma” reigned YouTube charts again and claimed the No. 1 position on YouTube’s Global Music Videos charts. The video has peaked No. 1 on YouTube charts for eight weeks and has charted a total of 20 weeks.
“Con Calma” has been named by Billboard one of “The 50 Best Songs of 2019”, and was named “2019 Summer Songs” list by both Forbes and Time magazine. The track also ranks No. 24 to date on Billboard’s “Hot 100”. The global music icon Daddy Yankee continues leading the charts firmly year after year, and continues to hold the record for the most #1 since the chart’s initiation in August 2005. Daddy Yankee has 11 charted titles on Hot 100, including “Despacito” with Luis Fonsi, featuring Justin Bieber which ruled for 16 weeks.
Since its official debut on YouTube, the music video for “Con Calma” surpassed one billion in views on YouTube and shows no signs of views slowing down.
The single became the “Most-Streamed” song on Deezer’s Global charts and #1 on Shazam’s Global charts. The track is a remake of Snow’s 1993 No. 1 hit “Informer”, written by Daddy Yankee, Snow, and produced by Play-N-Skillz and Juan “Gaby Music” Rivera.
The remix version with Katy Perry was released on April 19, 2019 and the performance debut aired on American Idol’s finale episode on ABC.
